Tree of Righteousness

How great it is to wake

To hear Your voice call out

I sit and delight

In Your Word and shout

How great You are

How great You are, my God

How great it is to meditate on You

Day and night

To know I’m a tree

That people can see

A tree planted by the rivers of water

I will drink of it everyday

And know You will lead me all the way

My leaf also shall not wither

Because of You, it will never

I will be an evergreen

Because the word has washed me clean

I will prosper and bring forth fruit

In due season,

For You are the reason

I’m planted by the rivers of water

But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.

Psalm 1:2-3

What a refreshing poem. This reflection on Psalm 1 encourages me to seek Him more.

Psalm 1 was the first chapter of the Bible I ever memorized.

The more we think about what is truly inside this poem it makes us want to spend more time with the Lord. He is our father and He loves us dearly.
