The Williamsons' Wedding July 25th 2009

Wow! My sister is married and it was such a beautiful wedding. It was perfect! I can’t wait to see the pictures. I found this one on face book and grabbed it. She is glowing looking in to his eyes with love and he looking it to her eyes, as they committed to one another and the Lord. Amber made the wedding dress look even more beautiful. The dress was a v neck with lace and pearls. The train was the right length. James looked handsome in his uniform.

The candles lit with soft lights in the back ground. As she walked down the aisle with our father, she couldn’t take her eyes off of James and I looked over to see James he couldn’t believe that she was going to be his bride forever. I think that he is the luckiest man in the world to have found my sister.
Before she went to the church, our Mom helped her get dressed and our Dad slipped her shoes on. It was a great touch as I remember them getting her dressed when she was a child. I had the pleasure to put pearl earrings on her. This was a miracle because I’m blind without my glasses. My parents had their last drive with their little girl as Amber Cano. She will always be their little girl, but now she is Amber Williamson.

The church and the reception were decorated so nice with candles and soft lights. Jade and Lindsey sang, “Feels like Home” while they had their first dance being married. The father and daughter dance was very special they have their very own song that our Dad would dance and sing to her. It’s called The Blue Danuby.

The night ended with watching James and Amber drive away to the honeymoon. As my Mom and I had tears of happiness waving good bye. She’s all grown up! I love you sister your wedding was perfect and you were beautiful. But you have always been beautiful inside and out.

Six Days to the Wedding

Wow, my body hurt so much today from yesterdays cleaning. I still have so much more to do. Most of my family will be staying here with me. I'm so excited!!!!! I want the house to look really nice since they haven't been here, They are all from out of state. My parents, fefe (my mom's little dog), my two daughter. and one of my sons in law. Thank God I have room. I wish Jacob, Kim and Ash were coming.

This week will go by so soon with running errands, (I still haven't found my shoes), moving Amber's things, running back and forth to the airport on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Decorating the church and the reception. I hope that I can spend time with my family. My parents will want to be with sistah, but I don't blame them she is the one getting married. Crazy week for all of us. I talked to Amber and James tonight and they have so much to do too. The happy couple can't wait. Thursday they will be getting their license. Lets keep them in prayer.

We found her song to dance with our Dad, she has been looking for it (Blue Danuby). I'm so happy for her. I'm so happy to be in her wedding. I love her so much. We have been praying for her husband for awhile, my mom had a dream about him before Amber meet him. She said,"he looked like an angel". She was right he does look like one. They make such a handsome couple.

Well, I won't be blogging for at least a week. But, I will have news about the wedding and some pictures.

Spring cleaning, Summer cleaning, Just cleaning

Today started off kind of slow, but that's ok, because I go to bed pretty late. I spent time in the word and Jesus keeps telling me to worship Him with thanksgiving. Did you know true worship is obeying Him. So that's what I'm trying to do. Thank God for His mercy!

Anyways, I'm slowly cleaning the house. I cleaned the dust off the fans, the cob webs from the windows and walls, dust the fireplace, dust the picture frames, and the TV. Vacuumed the carpet that I hate,(christmas green), vacuum under the couch. Cleaned the windows... those dogs sure make a mess with their wet mouths, rubbing all over it.Well I'm watching at the kids in the pool.

The living room is nice and clean, till dinner time. Now the living room table needs to be clean again. Tomorrow for sure I will have to vacuum again because it never ends. Skip (dog) sheds all year around.

I cleaned the bathroom, which isn't that hard since it's small. The toilet, the floors, the sink, and the counters are cleaned. The fresh towels which we will need before the night ends. Upstairs bathroom I'll leave Jade to clean. I wish Dennis would fix that shower so we can use it. There is a water leak, but you need lots of money for that project. Oh, money doesn't grow on trees!

The kids need to clean their rooms still, but you know how a 7 year old and 10year old clean. So I will be up there to finish those jobs. Family will be sleeping up there. My family are staying with me for the wedding. I need fresh sheets and blankets. I'm so glad that their my family and they know how it is. I'll get Josh to vacuum the stairs.

The last thing that needs to be done beside the yard, is the kitchen. I hate washing the dishes. I wish someone would fix the dish washer that I have never used since I moved in here. I don't know if the water is hooked up to it. It sounds like it works just no water. I never had a dish washer, 7 kids later and bought a home with a dish washer. I was so excited, but it doesn't work. Dennis says we have three dish washers Jade, Josh and Eyve. I can't get my self to make them do it, since I hate it my self. So I guess I'll do the dishes again.... maybe tomorrow.

I have clothes and towels to wash. Thank God I'm not doing those by hand. Dennis bought me really nice washer and dryer, the new kind that has the window in the front.Since we have a pool every day is wash day. Towels, and towels, and towels, don't get me wrong I love the pool. Today was a great day to jump in after I cleaned because I was sweating like a pig (does pigs sweat?)

Well, now that I read what I blogged, no wonder why God wants me to worship Him with thanksgiving. My heart isn't right.

Thank you God for my two hands so I can clean, thank you for my two feet so I can walk, thank you for giving me eyes to see and fingers to type, thank you for the roof over my head and a pillow to rest my head, thank you for my kids that love me and give me kisses. Thank you for this wedding so my family can come out and be with me. I do have a lot to be thankful for! I have a house to clean.

New friends that are spreading the Gospel

Today was a good day, we had the pleasure of having lunch with Bill and Lenore Martin. They had invited us over for lunch and fellowship. The kids got to go out to the garden and pick veg tables. They picked cucumbers, onions,, carrots , and squish. In their garden they had watermelon, cantaloupe, green beans, tomatoes, and other types. They had different types of flowers for the bees and also had sunflowers that were beautiful.

It was a good day of fellowship. This family has served the Lord and continues to through a ministry called Wycliffe.Their vision is to see the Bible translation program in progress in every language still needing one by the year 2025. Lenore was able to tutoring kids and development the Adapt it translation software tool.

I Pray that who ever reads this will keep them in prayer, these our things that they want us to pray for.

Pray that, according to His promise, the Lord will "do more good to us than ever before (Ezek 36:11)

Pray for the Lord to supply additional prayer and financial partners in such a way that we can proclaim (as Paul did) with confidence that "You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God."(2 Cor 9:11)

Pray the the translators who are working in difficult places around the world, that their tools (including software tools) will work well as they translate God"s word for those still waiting for it.

Continue to pray that Chales will have the resources he needs to coordinate Adapt It training and Scirpture use for translation programs on Manus island in PNG.

Pray for the others on the Adapt It team (Bruce Waters, Graeme Costin and Bob Buss), that they will continue to make good progress even though my contribution will be limited while I am working full-time on partnership development.

If any one wants to give a Tax- deduction gifts should be made payable to Wycliffe Bible Translators, with a separate note designating "for Bill & Lenore Martin.
I'm so thankful to know this couple and help by praying for them. And being part of spreading the Gospel.

Happy Birthday Brook

JULY 10. 1986

Today is a very special day. Twenty three years and nine months ago, I found out that I was going to have a baby. I was so excited! David and I went to the doctors to confirm that it was true. You know, at home we (I) took the pregnancy test. I had to pee in a cup and dip the little stick into it, and then you have to wait for the plus+ sign, which meant I was going to have a baby. When the doctor confirmed, we were so happy. She was going to be the first grand baby on both sides, but also our first baby.

In those days only some of the doctors gave an ultra sound to find out what the sex of baby was going to be. So we had no clue. During the baby shower they use to due this thing where you would take your ring off and put it through a string, then you would lay down, and hold up the ring to see what way it would turn. I forget which way it turns but they said that she was going to be a boy. Thank God she wasn’t because all I receivedwere girl things.

The day I gave birth I remember that everyone was there. My parents, his parents, the uncles the aunts, and it was a little crazy for me. I didn’t care who was there. I just want the pain to go away. They all waited patiently for the arrival. It took 5 hours which was great for me. Everyone was right outside waiting, pacing back and forth. David was ready to hand out cigars that had a baby boy label or baby girl labels. They really weren’t cigars they were gum that looked like cigars.
The time came as they heard me yell, and then it was quite. They ask, “What’s going on?” David ran out and told them it was a girl. I can hear the excitement, the joy, and the cry of happiness. Grandmas fighting already saying, "that’s my baby", "no that’s my baby." Grandpas, they can care less, they were happy it was over.

As soon as they handed her over to me I thought, what an angel. She was gorgeous and she still is. I couldn’t believe she was mine. You know God says that children are a reward from Him.... Boy was she! I couldn’t take my eyes of her and I loved to smell her head. I still do!

Now she is 23 years old, she’s a beautiful young woman that loves the Lord and her Husband. She has been such a great example to me. I’m so proud of her, she has always been respectful and responsible. Everyone loves her. I can’t wait to see her in a few weeks to put my arms around her and smell her head. I love you Brook, have a great birthday, and know I wish I was there to be with you. You will always be my Angel, my first born, my love. So here it goes!

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to my Angel, happy birthday to you.Mommy

God is Good

It’s 1:14 in the morning and I got all my home work done. The kids are asleep and Dennis is in the living room watching TV.... I think he is eating. When I got home from church the house smelled so good. He had made a roast with graving and some vegetable soup. I was so hungry, but today I was fasting, so I couldn’t eat today..... It would be today, right!

Today was a pretty good day, but I got frustrated about something and just wanted to give up. Thank God for friends. My friend prayed for me and reminded me that I needed to be still and know He is God. I always seem to want to fix the problem, and I can’t, there is nothing I can do about the matter. I  have to give it to Him, but and then take it back. I hate that! I need to pray!

Anyways, all I needed was to have a friend to pray and minister to me. It’s so important to fellowship. God used her and I was strengthened. Not only that, I bless with a drink, I wanted an ice chi right before I went to church, but I couldn’t get it. The Lord used her again and she brought me one. I also know that my kids were blessed and someone brought them something to eat.... they were hungry. That was God just telling me I hear you and know what you need. God is so good!

So thank you my friend, I love you!

Now maybe I can get some sleep. The only thing is I’m not tired yet. Yeah, I did sleep last night, and I think I had a dream.

Wow

Wow, I slept 10 hours today. I fell asleep around 3am and I didn't get up till 1pm. Crazy I know! Well, I started my day spending it with Jesus, I love it because he speaks to me so clearly. I read with the kids and fed them. Ok, they fed them selves! And now it's 3:30. I have homework to do, Crown Financial and The life of David. It's every day homework and I have to do it. Not that any one is making me, but I just want to know more about the bible.

Today might have started of late and I have so much to do, but I know that because I made God first, God will help me get everything else I need to do get done. So, off I go! I need to just stay busy in the Lord's business. I hope that I will sleep tonight!

That's What I Get

Yay, I got to rest yesterday and do nothing. I don't believe it! Well, I went to church but that doesn't count. I put my pj's on, I took a little nap, and watched a little TV. It felt really great since I didn't sleep well the other nights. But Guess what, I didn't sleep at all last night. Yes, I'm still awake!

I stood up all night. It was easy since Dennis and the little ones stay up playing games and Lego's. They don't get to bed till maybe 1am or 2 sometimes 3am. I can't sleep because I can hear them. Dennis comes rolling in and by that time, I'm fully awake. Don't get me wrong, Dennis is a great father to them. He loves playing and spending time with them.

So this morning well I hung out in the living room a took advantage of this time and prayed, then I started to think.... . I thought about everything...... The house needs so much work, I get to see my girls in a few weeks, my parents will get to see all of us. The back yard looks terrible.... the pool better not be green. With all my thinking, I guess I didn't notice that the power went out. I thought, did I pay the bill? It was out only for a few hours.

Now the kids were waking up and they wanted breakfast, I found out quickly that there was not one dish clean. Matter of fact the whole house was in an uproar. I had a lot of cleaning to do. I think it must have taken me more than a hour to clean the kitchen. I have no dish washer! By the time I was done it was time for women's bible study.

Ok, I better stop complaining before the ground opens up and swallows me. I hope that since I worked so hard today that I will sleep like a baby tonight. Let me look, it's 10:10pm right now. To much activity going on for me to go to bed. Eyvette is taking a shower, Josh watching qubo TV,and Dennis upstairs playing bounty hunter. Jade pushing me to hurry up because she wants to go on facebook. She actually is walking around me at the table I'm sitting at while listening to the cell phones music (Shawn McDonald). What can I say!

Good night Journal!

Rest and Do Nothing

Yeah Right
It was a great day yesterday. My family and friends came over and went swimming. Later they went to see the fireworks at the park. I was to tired so I stayed home and watched them from my drive way. I look up into the sky, stairing at all the sparkles that come down, well the cars were driving by and the head lights flashing in my face. I still enjoyed it!

I didn't want to get up this morning. I set the alarm for 8am because today was church. I needed to be there at 9am. I hit the snooze button and that's all I remember. Jade and I had 15 minutes to get ready and get to church. I was late! I decided to leave the kids in bed and let them rest. When I got home they were still sleeping (12:00pm). The house was quite and the sound was so nice. When they woke up (1:20pm) they were mad at me for not waking them up and taking them to church. They truly enjoy and love church.

Well, I think I'm going to just rest and do nothing. The house is such a mess but what can I say, I'm tired! There is so many things I got to do though. Like clean the kitchen, fold the clothes, vacuum the living room, (forget the bedrooms) ,and do my study for crown financial. Oh what about dinner? Thank God Dennis likes to cook. Ok, maybe I won't rest and do nothing.
Rest.... it sounds so good!

What I Miss About 4th of July

This blog will be different from my other blog bridget247.wordpress.com . This one will be on just my everyday life with my family and friends. I guess maybe, I like to bloging because it seems like I'm being heard...... Why do people blog?

Today reminds me of when I was a child. I remember taking a picture with my brothers on July 4th 1976. Amber wasn't born yet.... I have to find that picture! We were holding up a box of fireworks that said 1776. It was 200 years of celebration. I'm trying to remember more but what can I say. We always had people over, family, and friends from across the street . We had corn on the cob cooking on the barbecue. I remember just having fun, running around lighting fireworks. Didn't have to worry about anything much in those days.

Today we will stay home and go swimming. My sister, James, and Lindsey are coming over. I think Monica and the girls might come too. It's so different not having all my kids here. Brook, Megan, Ashley, and Kim  are doing their own thing in different states this year. I miss them sooooo. My parents would be too if they weren't in CA.

In Crestline California we would be on our mountain looking over the lake, we can see the firework show. It was a beautiful view. Great show! The city would put it together and it cost 20 thousand dollars..... I have those pictures somewhere. Even though it is a different season for me. I know we will still have a great day.

I do have my memories, I think! We would hike through the woods and there was a place the girls called the rock. We can see everything. It was just a nice place to sit and meditate. I do miss the rock.
