Precious Gift

I have a very precious gift
But
Don’t touch it
Until I give it to you
Don’t shake it
Until I give it to you
Don’t peek
Until I give it to you
Don’t unwrap it
Until I give it to you
Don’t squeeze it
Until I give it to you
It’s very special and it’s for your eyes only
I need you to take good care of it for the rest of your life
I will give it to you on your wedding day
My gift to you will be my daughter or son
I take good care of them
I pray for them
I feed them
I look after them
I protect them
I teach them
I love them
I do everything for them
And
I expect you to do the same
Or
I will be coming after you!

Do not stir up nor awaken love Until it pleases.
Song of Solomon 8:4

This is the perfect poem for Christmas time coming. Gifts, gifts, everywhere, but the greatest one of all Jesus.
