Fly Away

When I’m tired and feel so weary
When I’m sad and feel so teary
I want to fly
Up to the sky
Where I think everything is cheery

So many decisions for me to make
Time for the chains to break
I want to fly
Up to the sky
Where I think I won’t make a mistake

When I’m weary and feel so tired
I promise I will run and desire
To call out and wait
I will not faint
O LORD, It’s You that I admire

LORD, I can’t do this all alone
This territory is not unknown
Please, no more strain
No more pain
The thought makes my heart groan

I will wait for You to answer
You are my true Master
Give me strength
 Don't be at arm’s length
I will worship and be called Your dancer

When I'm weary, I want wings to fly far, far away.....But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. ~ Isaiah 40:31

This is a very nice poem. I like the way you structure your lines. It is very encouraging too. Sometimes I feel as though God had put me at arm's length...but the truth is He is always there...I just don't see Him.

Thanks for all the encouraging poetry.
