Weight Loss Update Week 3

New Year Resolution Update

Here I go, the first week I focused on the amount of food, second week focused on why I eat and this week I will focus on being a conscious eater and get moving.

Reminder, my stomach is as big as my fist, eat when I have stomach hunger and not heart hunger and get moving.

This week, I will focus on eating in a clam environment, eating when I’m sitting down, eating when my body and mind are relaxed, eat and drink what my body enjoys, pay attention to food while eating, eat slowly and savor each bite, they say we should chew 20 times before swallowing, and stop before I’m full.

It’s not what I eat it’s the amount that I need to work on. I know, I can’t sit and eat a gallon of ice cream. I do need to make right choice on what I put in my body and I can't forget, I need to drink water too!

Food
I ate about 5 fist size meals this week, it was hard because my family is here and they cooked some good meals. When we all get together I tend to eat more because I’m happy, God reminds me that I don't need to eat because I'm happy but eat because I need to........ I live to eat or do I eat to live?

Exercise

I feel bad because I wanted to exercise more this week, I did so good last week and walked 6 times but this week I walked only once for 20 minutes. I need to get moving!

Scale

Last week I despised the scale, this week I love it. You have to remember it’s not all about the scale, it’s about how you feel and how your clothes fit. Last week I worked hard and gained 3 pounds. This week I didn’t work as hard and lost 3 pounds.

Weight Loss tip for the Week

Talk about your weight lose efforts to someone that will encourage you by telling you to keep up the good work.

Fitness Tip for the Week

Dining Out Dos and Don’t

Order yourself a children’s meal

Myth

I shouldn’t eat any fat.

Fact: Fat serves many important functions, such as strong energy, transporting certain vitamins and providing flavor and texture to food. When it comes to weight loss, calories are the bottom line.

Romans 10:9

. . .if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Talk to Jesus. Seriously, He is waiting to listen to you and help you in your struggle to lose weight. Sometimes we wrestle with the urge to cheat on our diets until we are emotional wrecks. This happens most often when we are alone, with no one to talk to. Don't forget, Christ is always with you, and He is as close as prayer. Tell Him how difficult it is. Let Him know your struggle, and He will indeed comfort you. There is never a time in our lives when Jesus is not interested in everything that is happening to us. Call upon Him, confess Him as Lord, and you will be saved!

Today's thought: Jesus is as close as a prayer!
