Miss My Family

How I wish my family lived close to me
How I wish I didn’t move away, they would agree
The holidays are here, Thanksgiving has passed
Christmas is right around the corner, I asked
Please LORD, I would love to be with my family

I miss the laughter and all the fun
Opening up presents one by one
Eating tamales and sitting near the fire place
Oh how I miss their embrace
I pray one day my wish will come true

This year is really hard for me
I truly miss my family
Maybe next year I will be with all of them
They are worth more to me than any gem
I hope my family knows, I love them all and miss them so

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers, making request if, by some means, now at last I may find a way in the will of God to come to you.
Romans 1:9-10

What a warm, heart-felt poem. I'm sure you have expresses the longing wish of many lonely souls. Reminds me of the song "I'll Be Home for Christmas."
