Christmas at Ambers

This Christmas we decided to go out to my sister in OK. She is 36 weeks pregnant and she shouldn't be driving. Her feet are swollen and she should keep off of them. So, we left our dungeon in TX to be with her. We never leave our home on Holidays so this was going to be different.

We are helping her around the house and took broody out for walks (her dog). We left skip and muffin at home because they would be way to much. Thank you Anna and Caleb for watching them for us. We do miss them, even if I think they are dumb dogs.

We had our first white people Christmas this year (In side joke). Mexicans unwrap presents on Christmas eve and unwrap tamales, but we unwrap present before we came because there is no room to bring them in the car and we had ham and mash potatoes instead (lol). Dennis does make a good ham. We had eggs and ham for breakfast, ham sandwiches for lunch, and ham for dinner again. I'm done with ham. Sister we should have made tamales like you wanted. We will soon.

We had a great time here, we went to seen Gullivers Travels,we went to the park and played, we hung out at home and spent time together. We went for walks and seen some homes all lit up. Amber has one tree with lights and it looks like a person praising the LORD. She decorated her home so nice.

We will be going to Church tomorrow and then be heading home, I think. Thank you sister for having us here. I'm glad that I have family with me. I really miss all my girls. Halloween

The kids wanted to dress up and go out for Halloween, so we took them to a church up the street that had all kinds of thing to do. We really don't celebrate halloween. Every year we would have a puppet show about the light, the true light, which is Jesus on this dark night. All of are puppeteers have moved on.

This year we let Josh dress as Frankenstein, Dennis had rent old Frankenstein moves and Josh liked them. So I gave in and let him be Frankie. Evye wasn't sure what she whated to be, plus we weren't going to buy anything, Dennis found our lod clown outfit that we used to dress up in when we did puppet shows. She looked so adroable. Everyone thought she was so cute. As we walked to the church people that drove by honked at her and she would wave. Jade, well she found out that there use to be white Indians, so thats what she decided to be. My little white squaw!

They didn't end up with much candy, I enjoy the chocolate. But thats ok , we do need to stay way from sugar. That night was fun and thats what counts. The kids will have a good memory. I hope I remember also.

What I Miss About 4th of July

This blog will be different from my other blog bridget247.wordpress.com . This one will be on just my everyday life with my family and friends. I guess maybe, I like to bloging because it seems like I'm being heard...... Why do people blog?

Today reminds me of when I was a child. I remember taking a picture with my brothers on July 4th 1976. Amber wasn't born yet.... I have to find that picture! We were holding up a box of fireworks that said 1776. It was 200 years of celebration. I'm trying to remember more but what can I say. We always had people over, family, and friends from across the street . We had corn on the cob cooking on the barbecue. I remember just having fun, running around lighting fireworks. Didn't have to worry about anything much in those days.

Today we will stay home and go swimming. My sister, James, and Lindsey are coming over. I think Monica and the girls might come too. It's so different not having all my kids here. Brook, Megan, Ashley, and Kim  are doing their own thing in different states this year. I miss them sooooo. My parents would be too if they weren't in CA.

In Crestline California we would be on our mountain looking over the lake, we can see the firework show. It was a beautiful view. Great show! The city would put it together and it cost 20 thousand dollars..... I have those pictures somewhere. Even though it is a different season for me. I know we will still have a great day.

 I do have my memories, I think! We would hike through the woods and there was a place the girls called the rock. We can see everything. It was just a nice place to sit and meditate. I do miss the rock.
