A Little Rhyme

Jesus is with us all the time
Let me tell you a little rhyme

There is only one gospel
People tend to hear the Word and become hostile

We are justified by grace through faith in Him
Why do we walk around looking so grim?

Believers are to be identified with his crucifixion
The Word say's to pick up your cross; it’s the truth not fiction

The law will never be able to give life
Grace will take away strife

We were made alive together with Him
He has forgiven us from our sins

By faith we actually become God’s daughters and sons
I pray Jesus hurries and comes

To know Jesus is with me to the end
He will always be my best friend

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Longing for Love

She desires to be loved deeply
Wanting her love to think of her
Wondering if she ever crosses his mind
Doubt seems to occur

She’s all alone, wanting him
She can’t do it anymore, the longing is too much
Longing for him and not getting anything in return
No love, no comfort, not even a soft touch

She wants to be loved like she ought to be loved
She wants to share her feelings and know he cares
Holding her when she cries
Telling her, “I’m here, have no fears”

Her heart is getting hard, she can’t do it anymore
She’s tired of longing for love she’ll never receive
His affection, his heart, his companionship, and intimacy
Remembering the words, “I promise I will never leave”

She’s all alone
With her dreams and hopes
Her heart is broken and needs to be healed
With Jesus though, she does deal and copes

She is in the way of what he wants
Her love is a heavy burden to him
She’s tired of longing for his love
Hopefully there will still be a them

Come Home, My Love

I think about you day and night
 I miss your soft touch
Wishing you were here with me
Whispering, “I love you very much”

I wake and reach for you
Realizing you’re not there
Tears of missing, my Love
Pain I can no longer bare

Come home, my Love
Let me feel your touch
Be with me
I love you very much

Your kiss is so sweet to me
Your fingers running threw my hair
My arms wrapped around you
You mean the world to me, Dear

Come home, my Love
Let me feel your touch
Be with me
I love you very much

The Delight of Sacrifice

Am I living my life for others?
Am I dying to myself?
Am I living for Jesus?
Or am I just sitting on the shelf?

Am I interested in other people?
Am I delighting in laying down my life?
Am I only concerned about me?
Or am I full of bitterness and strife?

Am I on a pedestal and isolating myself?
Am I all things to all men?
Am I allowing Jesus to help Himself to my life?
Or am I hiding in this den?

Am I interested only in my own goals?
Am I totally surrendered to Him?
Am I devoted to Jesus?
Or am I pointing fingers, “Look at them?”

Am I in love with Jesus?
I am in love with Jesus!

“I will gladly spend and be spent for your soul; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved.”
2 Corinthians 12:15

Frogiveness Or Bitterness

Forgiveness removes bitterness within
Forgiveness gives you peace
Forgiveness releases you from prison
Forgiveness heals your pain

Bitterness causes hate within
Bitterness gives you strife
Bitterness keeps you in prison
Bitterness causes you pain

What do you want, Forgiveness or Bitterness?
You have a choice!

"And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses."
Matthew 11:25

"For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity."
Acts 8:23

What We Can Do

Showing genuine love
That was giving to you from above

Avoiding evil and holding to good
Get rid of evil, run from it, understood

Respecting others
They are your sisters and brothers

Being diligent in service
Do everything for God, don’t be nervous

Demonstrating hope
With Jesus you can cope

 Patience, steadfastness, and joy
Show them Jesus, the real McCoy

Continue to pray
Every day

Meeting the needs of others
That’s are job, to love are sisters and brothers

Showing hospitality
Who knows, they can be angels in reality

Living humbly and peaceably
All the time, not just frequently

Repaying evil with good
Are you doing this? You should!

Romans 12:9:21

Transformed Not Conformed

How sweet it is to be transformed
By the renewing of your mind
To know that this is the perfect will of God
To leave the lust of the world behind

To know God’s Word
To be in prayer
To have sweet fellowship
To show love and care

Do not be conformed to this world
Lust of the eye, flesh, and pride of life
It doesn’t offer you life but death
It does not give peace but strife

How sweet it is to be transformed
By the renewing of your mind
To know that this is the perfect will of God
To leave the lust of the world behind

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2

Pleasing to God

Here we are with the greatest gift of all
He has given us the gift of salvation through grace
He has blessed us with many gifts
LOVE which we embrace

I ask,” What then do we do with LOVE?”
Jesus freed us to live for Him.
To live for others and not self
Our cups over flow the brim

Our goal should be to please God
By serving others with the gifts he has given
Love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness
Selfish living……..don’t give in

Stop living for self and serve others
God will provide all our needs
This is pleasing to God, bear fruit
You will be happy by doing good deeds

Pleasing God is the Goal
To die to self and think of others
 Our purpose here on earth
Serving our sisters and brothers

As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God
1 Peter 4:10

No One Around

There’s a time when you look around
You’re alone, no one to be found
No one near to talk to
But you learn to make do
No one to share your dreams
No one cares, it seems
No one to tell your troubles or pain
Oh how I hate to complain
If I could get the focus off of me
That would be the key
God knows what I need
I need to trust that He will lead
He will speak to me loud and clear
Trust that He is here
I can talk to Him and share
He’s the God that does care
God, give me strength to carry on
Holy Spirit, please come upon
I want to curl up and lay in bed
What else is there to be said?
LORD, give me strength to carry on!

The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace.
Psalms 29:11

Call Out To Me

When you’re in need
Call out to Jehovah Jireh
The Lord will provide

When you need comfort
Call out to Jehovah Shammah
The Lord is there

When you need healing
Call out to Jehovah Rapha
The Lord that heals

When you're worried
Call out to Jehovah Shalom
The Lord is peace

When you need protection
Call out to Jehovah Sabaoth
The Lord of host

When you need guidance
Call out to Jehovah Raah
The Lord my Shepherd

Simply call out to the LORD
He hears you

Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
Jeremiah 33:3

So Called Christians

I understand we are not perfect.
The last time I checked
We are all sinners at birth,
All of us here on earth.
We will all fall into temptations,
Don’t have high expectations.
We are not under the law but grace
So does that mean we can sin in this place?
I can lie, I can cheat,
Be full of conceit.
I can fornicate, I can steal,
Dress to have sex appeal.
I can murder, I can sin
And have a big grin.
God will forgive me,
You see I’m a Christian and I’m free.

If you love God you will obey and repent.
We are not free to sin but to represent
Our LORD Jesus Christ, For He died for you and me
And He has set us free

What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!
Romans 6:15
