Cheep Family Night Out

Last night was a beautiful cool Autumn night. We decided to get out of the house and enjoying it. I'm so glad that the weather has changed from hot hell to cool autumn. It was perfect timing because our air conditioner went out of commission last week. I have been able to open the windows and hear the traffic go by and the fire station sirens go off every couple of hour, but the house is cool.

It's been a long time since we as a family have gone out for dinner together. The kids were excited they were able to go to Jack in the box and get a$1 Big Texas Burger. Jade got a$1 Chicken Sandwich and I order$1 two Tacos. I really like those tacos. Dennis order a Big Texas Burger but they're really not that big so he also order two tacos. That still wasn't enough for him so he had to wait till we got back home to eat more. We spent $10, pretty good!

We went to the park that was right down the street and played with the plane that Dennis brought for the kids. It was really cool because it flew around us , the kids chased it all over the park. Jade and I watched for awhile but then decided to take a walk. Jade was amassed at the moon and took pictures, her and that camera. It started to get really cold so we decided to head home. The park was free!

Dennis took out his favorite game, Pass the Pigs. We would roll the pigs and if they landed a certain way we get points. If they landed flat down and one side up with a dot and the other pig up with nothing, it was called pig out and you don't get points. It was fun! Dennis won of course. The kids want to play tonight. Maybe I will win, yea right. Jade wasn't interested so she played on the laptop. Game night was free.

It's so important to hang out with your family they will always remember, especially since I'm blogging it. You don't have to spend money, just have fun! Merry heart is so good for us. The word says in Proverbs 17:22 A merry heart does good like medicine. ©All articles and comments on Dinky’s Hum Drum Journal are the property of Bridget Sherman and are Copyright protected.
