What I’m thankful for this week,

1. Snow
I love the snow it’s so white and fluffy. It reminds me of this song,

White as snow, white as snow

Though my sins were as scarlet

Lord, I know, Lord, I know

That I’m clean and forgiven

Through the power of your blood

Through the wonder of your love

Through faith in you

I know that I can be white as snow.

By Leon Olguin and Kelly Willard

2. Snow Days
Even though my children are homeschooled, it’s fun to go out and play all day in the snow.

3. Snow Men
It’s fun to watch the kids make their own snow man and dress them up with scruffs and a carrot nose!

4. Snow Sledding
How fun to ride down the hill and hear my kids laughing.

5. Snow Fights
It’s only Eyvette and Joshua that likes to throw snow balls at each other, but I do need to help Eyve since Josh is a lot faster at making and throwing them.

I'm coming to help you Eyvie

6. Snow Flakes
They’re so pretty and if you look real close you can see the crystal

7. Eating Snow
My husband likes to eat snow, just not when it’s yellow.

Thankful Thursday Top 10 (6)

Power Outages
This is what I’m thankful for this week,

1. Electricity
Power went out yesterday about 6am in the morning, we all snuggled up under the covers because it was so cold. 48,000 people without power here in Texas.

2. Fire Station
We live across the street from the fire station, so, what I’m really thankful for is that when the power goes out, these neighborhoods will be the first to get power….. Freezing!

3. Gas Oven
We can cook food and make coffee. I have to have a cup of coffee in the morning. Except for yesterday, I had more cups then I should.

4. Family and Friends
For their prayers and opening their homes, so we can stay warm. Thank you!

5. Down Comforters
They really keep us warm. I need to buy a few more.

6. Shelter
There’re so many people that need help during these times. Duncanville Senor Citizen Shelter opened up their doors to anyone that needs a meal and to stay warm.

7. Utility Workers
I know they get paid for their jobs, but I am thankful because they have to work in such bad weather. They get the job done.

8. Charged Batteries
So I can use my laptop and work on my two blogs. Need the cell phone in case of emergency.

9. Days Like Yesterday
Great memories, I remember when we lived on the mountain, all the kids lived with us, the power would go out, we would be in the living room under the covers and sleeping bags, next to the fireplace telling stories. We would be making smores and hot chocolate, laughing at the stories the kids would share. As soon as the power would turn back on, the kids would be disappointed. They would ask, “Turn the lights off”. They loved it when the power was out.

10. When the Electricity Turns Back On
I really don’t need to explain this one.
Yay, 3:20 the power went back on. It was 48 degrees in our house.

Don’t forget to give thanks to the LORD

Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. (1Ch 16:34)

Jade 16, Megan 22, Brook 24, Joshua 11, Eyvette 8

This is what I’m thankful for this week,

1. Children
My children are a gift from God. They bring me joy, love, and laughter. I am truly blessed! Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior. So are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them.

2. Worship
I’m so thankful that I can worship God anytime and anywhere. I’m thankful that my children worship Him also. Tonight was great, Jade (my daughter) lead worship tonight and it was like listening to an angel. You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things and by Your will they exist and were created. Revelation 4:11

3. Soup
Brook my oldest made some delicious cheese soup tonight (Caldo de queso). It was perfect for this weather. She has become a great little cook.

4. Dirty Babies
Because I was able to give me little button (Jayla my granddaughter) a bath, she is too too cute! All those little crevices on her body that need to be washed. I miss those early years. What a bundle of joy she is.

5. Running Shoes
So I can walk of this weight, I guess they would be called walking shoe then.

6. Glue Gun
My children are so creative, Megan and Jade made flower clips for their hair. Eyvette made a doll out of a plastic water bottle.

7. Dish Washer
I have way too many dishes, I forgot how messy the kitchen can get when the house is full of kids, but I love it.

8. Homeschool
I can teach the kids anytime of the day so we can go hang out with family and have fun!

9. My Tiny Camera
I have taken so many pictures and videos of my children, what great memories.

Do I really need to go into details?

Dont forget to thank the LORD

Thankful Thursday Top Ten (3)

Jamma I want you

What I’m thankful for this week:
1. My Parents truck
It will bring my parents and my baby girls to me. I can’t wait to see them. YAY!

2. Sister
For rescuing me, while I was stranded on the side of the road off the 44 highway. I’m still thankful for my car even though it’s in my sister’s garage!

3. Brody
He (my sister’s dog) makes me get up and take him for walks. I’m getting my exercise in, even when I don’t feel like it.

4. Cold Days
I get to stay under the blankets and cozy up with a good book called the bible, while sipping on coffee and eating chocolate. Well, not too much chocolate, I am trying to lose weight.

5. Blow dryer
I hate how my hair looks when I let it dry all on its own.

6. Bible Study
That I can increase in the knowledge of my God. Everything will fade away but not His word.

7. God’s Power
How He used me to minister to people I don’t even know. God wanted me to tell this young mom that He will never leave her or forsake her. She was amazed, because that’s exactly what she needed to hear at the moment.

8. Movies
Especially the funny ones like “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” My sister and I had some good laughs last night.

9. Home
I miss my little family at home. Comforts of my own bed, and a place I call my home.

10. James my brother- in -law
Thank you for serving and protecting us. He is always encouraging others, especially me and for loving my sister.

Don’t forget to give thanks to the LORD

In everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thess5:18
