Sweet Sunshine

I wake up each day to a new ray of light
My heart is calm and I no longer have to fight
My days are filled with laughter and joy
Always feeling like a birthday boy
No hassle no worries all is fine
I wake up each day with my sweet sunshine.

If every waking day can be like this
For sure my life would be full of bliss
This sweet gift that was given to me
I pray will never ever flee
Love can change everything
Peace and comfort it does bring

Sherl

I want to tell you a story about this women named Sherl, she is 53 and she has been living in the street for 16 years. We are building a relationship and she feels safe to share things with me. She has a story that seems to be similar to other homeless people that have lived on the streets for so long. They have some type of abuses, addictions, hurt, pains, regrets, deaths,  lost hope. This is the way we live attitude.

Sherl has no teeth, she's this tiny women that doesn't like to be around others, she lives in a tent that we gave her and she calls it her home in Beverly Hills. She carries her knife and is a lite sleeper. People come around at night trying to take her things and try to do other things to her, but she is ready.

She as shared a little of how she ended up on the streets but I haven't heard the whole story. Her and her brother live on the streets, his name is Blue, he loves the color blue. He is a drukard and a cocane addict.... He always tells us he is blessed and has his bible, he even gives money to help on Sundays with the meals. He hasn't open up yet, but he loves it when we just sit with him. I know she is on something to but not sure what.

They both have lost there parents and their children have been taken away from them. They do see them but not as often as they like. Sherl claims her brother keeps secrets from her and she knows he see them more than she does. But one day she will know his secrets.

As she is on her 4th donut and her second cup of coco, she asks me in her little baby voice, "can I please have some chips and a bottle of water for later." I smile and said yes, but that I had to leave now. She said,"ok I will see you next week and to tell you more, oh and look what I'm reading," she shows me her bible. Thank God!

Renay

You are no longer forgotten
You are no longer hidden
You are no longer invisible
You are no longer forbidden

You made no decisions
You had no choice
You had a short life
And you had no voice

My dear child, one day
I will hear your heart beat
See your glorified body
Sitting at Jesus's feet

I know I'm forgiven
By the grace of God
No more guilt or shame
And no longer flawed

I've given you a name
And it means reborn
I have peace and joy
And I will no longer mourn

You will be remembered
You will no longer be hidden
You will no longer be invisible
You will no longer be forbidden

One day I will be with you
My baby, I will see you soon

My First Love

 Can I walk you home
Can I give you kisses
Can I be your first love
She sits and reminisces

This gentle young man
Will always have her heart
Her only first love
Hoping they will never be apart

Time goes by wondering where can he be
Is he to be lost in the arms of someone new I see
Maybe one day she can tell him again,
 "You are special to me"

That day has come
She can once share her love
To this gentle man
God has healed from above

Can I walk you home
Can I give you kisses
Can I be your first love
She sits and reminisces

Love My Self

LOVE MY SELF!
I've heard so many times that we need to love ourselves. In scripture I can't find that, matter of fact, I find that we need to love God with all our heart, we need to love others and love our enemies. I see that we are to deny self, pick up your cross and follow Him. I see we are not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think! To esteem others higher than ourselves.

The only thing I found about loving ourselves is, "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be LOVERS OF THEMSELVES,lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 2 Timothy 3

We don't need to be encouraged to love ourselves; we naturally have such a love. Neither should we be taught to hate ourselves. I think we need to be encourage on learning "what and how to love." God is love. He loves you! Are you satisfied with God's love for you? Do you believe He loves you?

Let's get our eyes off of self and look onto Jesus. He is a great example of what Love is.
Jhn 15:13

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends.

Your Choice

Being Christ like is a choice you make everyday
to put someone else's need ahead of your own
Is how love being shone

Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
