Your Choice

Being Christ like is a choice you make everyday

 to put someone else's need ahead of your own

What a blessing it was to go out and give to the homeless. It's funny how that works.

 One story I will share about a man named Roberto Martinez. Eyvette offered him a beanie and he offered us the Word. He gave us his testimony and how Jesus has always provided for him. There were so many ministries out today feeding the homeless. We were able to have church and eat with them. God is so good. We learn a lot today about the homeless. Pray for those that can't stay at the shelters.  They have to stay outside because the shelters a full. We were freezing, our toes were numb from being out there. It was 33 degrees. 

Thank you, Father, for a roof, clothing, food, and love from friends and family.

Let's Love

And so you ask, 

"There are homeless people here and there.

We feel something must be done, 

Especially at this time of year."

What shall we do?

What should we say?

How about let's pray

Is are faith without works?

What about a helping hand?

How about let's understand

Homeless are not bums

They are human beings

They have feelings and wants

They also need some things

Where is are compassion?

Where is are love?

Why are we so judge mental? 

Don't you know that's not for above! 

Can't we just open your eyes and see

That God created all of us

We all need help at times

So what's the big fuss?

"There are homeless people here and there.

We feel something must be done, 

Especially at this time of year."

Let's LOVE! 

Why?

Why am I so sad?

Why do I cry?

I have a roof over my head

I have I place to rest, it's called a bed

Why am I so depressed?

Why do I weep?

I have people who love me 

But still happiness is absentee

Why am I in pain?

Why do tears fall? 

WHY?

The only ones among (us) who will be truly happy are those who will have sought and found how to serve.

I Guess I Will Stay

I withdraw emotionally 

From the very one 

I hoped would rescue me

Should I run and be free?

I closed up my spirit

In order to protect 

My heart from ache

Should I leave and forsake? 

Intimacy, happiness, hope

Turns to

Isolation, pain, despair

I grow old and gray 

And think

Who will take care of me?

Who will listen to my plea?

I feel alone and he doesn't care

Tears run down my face

I want things to change 

But will It be strange? 

It's been like this for so long

Go to sleep and wake up

Wake up and go to sleep

Lay in bed and weep

I pray one day to find my love again 

I pray he would rescue me 

I pray he would take me away from all this

And tell me, "I love you," and give me a kiss

We shall be as one again 

No more secrets, no more walls

My one and only best friend

Life time together we will spend.

This is what I pray

So I guess I will stay.
